The capacity for human exercise performance can be enhanced with prolonged exercise training. The ability to adapt through exercise training allows individuals to perform at the height of their sporting event and/or maintain peak physical condition throughout the life span.

Exercise is generally separated into aerobic/endurance and power/strength activities. Muscle strength is about your ability to lift a heavy maximum weight for a short period. Muscle endurance centers around repeating an exercise for a long time without fatigue. In simple terms, endurance refers to how long you can sustain a workout, while strength refers to how hard you can perform.

Strength

Muscular strength is typically improved by lifting heavier weights for fewer reps with shorter time.One of the best ways to improve muscular strength is to focus on functional movements that utilize the entire body. This training target is to build muscle volume by putting more stress on the body.

Endurance

Muscular endurance is typically trained by forcing the muscle to engage in resistance exercises for a sustained amount of time. This could be by lifting weights for a higher number of reps and running for progressively longer distances. Cardio training is typically the best method of building endurance. Exercises such as running, biking, and swimming are all good choices.

It is possible to use both forms of exercise if you cannot decide whether endurance or strength training is right for you. Both types of training offer benefits that increase your body’s capabilities and allow extended periods of strength output with a quicker recovery time. Endurance and strength training will benefit the body in different ways. Regardless of which one you choose, knowing the specifics of each style is important.
